Frequently asked questions
Unlimited conversations with the AI companion, export of whole result lists and bookmarks as CSV, RIS, BibTeX, CSL JSON, or formatted citations, and PDF uploads up to 20 MB. Search, the map, and reading are the same on both plans.
The Individual plan is one seat for one person. The Team plan is billed per seat on one subscription, and team admins add or remove Plus access for members on the Team page.
Your Keenious Plus subscription works on the web app and inside our add-ins for Microsoft Word and Google Docs.
If your university has a Keenious license, Plus is included. Sign in with your university email or your university's single sign-on. On the campus network, Keenious can recognize your university without signing in.
Individual and Team plans are paid by card through Stripe. University licenses are invoiced annually.
Yes. You can switch between monthly, quarterly, and annual billing on the Plan page in Settings. The change applies right away, and unused time on your old cycle is credited toward the new one. On a Team plan, a team admin makes the change.
A new seat is prorated for the time left in your billing period and appears on your next monthly invoice, also on quarterly and annual plans. Removing a seat credits the unused time to your upcoming invoices. The seats and billing guide has the details.
Yes. Students get 30% off annual Individual plans. Email eduverify@keenious.com from your university email address with your full name, student number, and graduation year. We reply with a discount code within 3 working days.
Open the billing portal from the Plan page in Settings, and cancel there. On a Team plan, a team admin cancels for the whole team.
Your subscription stops renewing, and Plus stays active until the end of the period you have paid for. We do not refund the remaining time.
Not by yourself yet. Contact support@keenious.com and we will move your account over.
There is no trial. The free plan has no time limit, so you can use search, the map, and the AI companion for as long as you like before upgrading. Universities can request a campus evaluation through our sales team.
